Brooke-Hancock Episcopal Ministries

Christ Episcopal Church is one of three churches in our regional ministry, all of which are served by one priest, The Rev. Philip K. Van Dam.

The other churches in our regional ministry are Olde St. John's on Eldersville Road in Colliers, and St. Thomas on Three Springs Drive in Weirton.

Please feel free to "try on" all of our churches, and choose the one that fits you and your family.

Holy Eucharist

It goes by several names: Holy Communion, the Eucharist (which literally means "thanksgiving"), mass. But whatever it’s called, this is the family meal for Christians and a foretaste of the heavenly banquet. As such, all persons who have been baptized, and are therefore part of the extended family that is the Church, are welcome to receive the bread and wine, and be in communion with God and each other.

Holy Eucharist is normally celebrated at Christ Church on the first and third Sundays of each month, at 11:00 a.m.

Morning Prayer

Morning Prayer is one of the two main Daily Offices in the churches of the Anglican Communion, prescribed in the various editions of the Book of Common Prayer and other Anglican liturgical texts.  In contrast to the Eucharist, it may be led by a layperson.

At Christ Church, Morning Prayer is normally held on the second, fourth and fifth Sundays of each month, at 11:00 a.m.
